Kobanzame is a vintage clothing shop in Motomachi, Kawagoe, Saitama, set in an 80-year-old wooden house. We carry vintage clothing sourced in Japan and abroad, and GAW, our own line of remade accessories. It is an easy stop while you explore Kawagoe.
Location and hours
1-14-5 Motomachi, Kawagoe, Saitama 350-0062, Japan, in the Motomachi area of Kawagoe, the same area as Kawagoe’s old kurazukuri (clay-walled merchant house) streets. Open 12:00–20:00, closed every Monday and Tuesday (from 1 November 2026: Tuesday–Sunday 13:00–20:00, closed Mondays). Changes are announced on Instagram (@remora__used372).
What you will find
Mostly vintage clothing from the US and Europe, for men and women: outerwear, shirts and tees, dresses, shoes and small goods. We choose by material, texture and the feel of each piece rather than brand or trend, so everything is one of a kind.

Pieces listed on this site range from ¥2,200 to ¥69,080 (tax and domestic shipping included). In-store prices vary by item.
New arrivals
New pieces arrive every Wednesday, and go up on this site on Wednesday morning.
GAW
Our own accessory line: old materials such as spoons remade into pendants, bangles and more. Each one is one of a kind.
Holding a piece
Every piece is one of a kind, so we do not hold items, online or in the shop. First come, first served.
